A Snowman!!!

Hello again…

Well I have broken my own rule! As I live in Australia and Christmas time is in the middle of our Summer time I try to avoid making too many Christmas Cards with snow, snow men, snow drifts etc. and tend to stick to fairly generic Christmas themes which still work with the Summer heat, but Faith over at From the Heart Stamps has given herself a challenge to draw 100 differentsnow people!

This little guy was this month’s freebie if you entered last month’s progressive Challenge or bought $10 worth of digi’s and entered the special code. I love Faith’s digi’s and sense of humour and have bought several Bird Brain Chick digi’s which you have seen here and here and here

Here’s my Card:-

Blue Christmas

Hello again…

Case-ing Christmas has gone monthly and this month it was Steph’s turn to create a card to inspire us, you can find Steph’s Card here. There is a lot to be inspired by, I love all the papers together; I took my inspiration from the ribbon, lace and twine down the side of the card. I have used a digi stamp from bugaboo and coloured it completely non-traditional.

On one of my recent trips down to the physio in the city I stopped in at Lincraft to see what extras bits and pieces I could get to add to my cards and came away with a variety of sheer ribbons and lace. I have used pale blue ribbon and added some die cut stars and avoided the snow all bar the image on the paper

Here’s my card:-

I had been saving this paper, although a generic bought from Kmart many years ago it was still a favourite, due to the positioning of my image I have covered up the tree the paper has on it which was also a blue and green combo. I now have an excuse to buy more supplies :-) I simply have to have some non traditional coloured papers! Maybe I will be well enough in November for the more local Christmas craft fair, I haven't been for several years.

The stopper on the easel card was created using a round digi from Scrap-a-licious Times (bottom one) and one I created in word placed on top.

What I used:-
14.9cm x 10.5cm white card blank
White card
Generic blue card and generic Christmas patterned paper
White glittered card stock
Faber-castell and Derwent Pencils
Baby blue Liquid Pearls
Digital Stamp BUGABOO
Mpress circle dies
Top sentiment circle Word
Lower sentiment from Scrap-a-licious Times
MFT Stitched Rectangle dies
Memory box Die Cosmic Star set
Adhesives- P.V.A. Glue, Double-sided tape, glue dots, foam tape
Scoring board

I would like to enter this card in:-

Shaker Card #1

Hello again...

Well I have been working on this card on and off for the last week, when I've been feeling well, snoozing when I wasn't, I have used a saved sentiment from an old card and added it to the shaker style card to add some more colour and interest. This is the first shaker card I have made since getting my Cuttlebug and dies to create one, forgive me for the shocking static glitter it contains, it came with a magazine card kit to create your own snow globe cards, next time I will stick just the sequins.

The paper inside the window has tiny pictures of reindeer and snowmen on it…I just don’t know how well you can see it

Here's my card:-

What I used:-
A4 white card to create square card blank (14.6cm)
Faber-Castell and Derwent Pencils
White 'Quill' card
Rescued Christmas sentiment from old card
Lifestyle crafts nesting circle dies
Impresion Obsession snow flake dies
Memory box beloved stars
Paper Smooches die Christmas words
Bo Bunny ‘Elf Magic’ paper pad
Doodlebug Design ‘North Pole’ paper pad
Blue glitter paper
Adhesives- P.V.A. Glue, adhesive foam tape, double sided tape
Silver glitter, sequins and stars
Acetate

I would like to enter this card in:-
Crafty hazelnut's Christmas Challenge #242- use something old (reused 'Christmas' sentiment and both paper pads are over two years old)

Have a great week

Happy Birthday!

Hello again,

Well, this month is a busy birthday month and I have created a card ready to send off interstate to my new sister in law, who likes all things vintage. I won two digi’s from All Dressed up from the Christmas at Sweet Stampin’ blog earlier this year and specifically selected this image with her in mind.

I have used the same paper pack as I used for the wedding card I made earlier in the year... thankfully I used only small amounts to create flowers for the wedding card, so I may get away with it ;-)

Here's my card:

What I used:
All Dressed up Digital Stamp 'A little me time'
Kaisercraft Blue Bay Paper Pack (12" x 12")
Kaisercraft Blue Bay collectables die cut shapes
Scissors, Craft Mat, Stanley knife & Steel Rule
Fiskars Corner Rounder Punch
Kaisercraft 2mm silver bling
Derwent & Faber-Castell pencils
Elizabeth Crafts Happy Birthday Die
White A4 card to create card blank
