Ink Blending

Hello again,

With our recent cooler weather I headed out to my computer and craft space did a little online shopping spending my Christmas gift voucher on some Distress Oxide ink pads, they arrived and I got them and the ink blender out to have my first go with both, deciding to make a card for my neighbours birthday inspired by an article in Australian Simply Cards, well they used brushos but never mind. I chose pickled raspberry, wilted wisteria and peacock feathers and blended them onto a piece of regular cardstock spraying with a mini mister once finished. My first ink blending experience, not the last one for sure.

On the weather front, summer is not quite done with us yet, heading for another week of 30-35C temperatures, with afternoon or evening storms. Some one should tell the flowering cherry trees and some of the maple trees in the area, some already have leaves on the turn, bright orange nestled in amongst the green.

Late last year when I first discovered that Darkroom Door was a little Aussie company I bought a Rubber stamp assortment pack direct from the store and received a variety of their stamps, cling foam to mount them on and this stamp is one from the pack. I got almost a complete set with African animals in the pack along with some sentiments, fish, flowers, stars and half an alphabet/numeral set they fill two and a half of the clear DVD cases that they also sell.
